The grapes are sourced from the Tumblong vineyard in the Gundagai region which has established an enviable reputation for Italian varietals including Sangiovese. 

Tasting Notes

Medium red colour with red hues. Red cherry and earthy aromas and flavours. The palate is complex and spicy with cherry notes and smooth tannins. The finish is long and savoury.

 Winemaking Notes

The grapes were all de-stemmed and fermented whole berries in open fermenters then lightly pressed at the end of fermentation directly into 10% new French oak barriques and old barriques. The wine was matured for 15 months in French oak, racked and sterile filtered to bottle. No fining.
